The art of manufacturing has been the heritage of Florentine artisans since Renaissance. In 1950, Nello Gigli established his firm of art decorations on Murano blown glass, inspired by Venetian XVIII century, exactly in Sesto Fiorentino, near Florence.

In the course of years, the firm changed, extending its Italian market range, and starting to export its goods.

Owing to the firm’s constant research for style and taste, and the continuos change of consumer’s demand, the current production is now focusing on furnishing accessories made of very thick glass with bronze and brass frame in 24-carat gold bath, as well as a full range of illuminating items.

Mass production is not part of the strategy of the firm, which is based on custom products to a greater and greater extent. We are ready to meet requests of architects and interior designers, and to make products in relation to luxurious and exclusive furnishing projects.

L’arte manifatturiera è patrimonio degli artigiani fiorentini fin dal Rinascimento, ed è proprio a Sesto Fiorentino, nelle immediate vicinanze di Firenze, che Nello Gigli fonda, nel 1950 la sua azienda di decorazioni artistiche su vetro soffiato di Murano, ispirate al ’700 veneziano.

Negli anni l’azienda ha subito rapide trasformazioni,ampliando il mercato italiano e aprendosi all’export. La continua ricerca dello stile, del gusto el il continuo
cambiamento dei consumatori ha indirizzato l’attuale produzione verso il complemento d’arredo, in vetro a forte spessore con montature in fusione di bronzo a bagno oro 24 kt. e ad una ricca serie di articoli per l’illuminazione.

La gestione aziendale rifiuta la serialità e i grandi numeri, indirizzandosi sempre di più verso la personalizzazione dei propri prodotti, offrendo massima disponibilità alle richieste anche di architetti e interior designer e a progetti di arredamento esclusivi e di lusso.

Se la Nello Gigli,dopo oltre 60 anni di vita,è ancora tra le aziende leader sul mercato Italiano ed estero lo si deve alla produzione completamente artigianale,all’accurata ricerca delle forme,allo studio del dettaglio ed all’uso di materiali esclusivamente Made in Italy.
