ITA: Nel 1945 il signor Lido Fortuna mette in pratica gli insegnamenti di suo padre nel garage della sua casa a Montegranaro, un piccolo paesino del centro Italia, non lontano dalla costa adriatica.
Era appena finita la guerra e lui aveva una gran voglia di fare e di creare. Ben presto il suo piccolo garage divenne una piccola fabbrica dove produrre scarpe era un piacere.
Con l'intensificarsi della produzione nasce il marchio LIDFORT, l'acronimo del nome del fondatore LIDoFORTuna. Molti iniziano ad indossare le scarpe Lidfort, non solo nelle zone limitrofe ma soprattutto nel nord Italia e nella capitale.
Il sig. Lido non riesce da solo a produrre le quantità richieste da quel mercato in crescita così insegna ad alcuni suoi fidati collaboratori i trucchi del mestiere, cercando di trasmettere tutta la sua passione. Per questo motivo il nome Lido Fortuna rimanda a "Maestro di stile e di vita".
Intorno agli anni '70 Vincenzo e Onelio, i figli di Lido, entrano ufficialmente a far parte dell'azienda nonostante già da anni aiutavano il padre. Da quel momento si creano nuovi equilibri perché il Maestro Lido insegna ai propri figli le migliori tecniche artigianali e Vincenzo e Onelio ridonano freschezza al marchio.
La scarpa Lidfort negli anni '80 segue uno stile elegante e raffinato ma al tempo stesso moderno e semplice. Nonostante il volume di affari fosse in crescita, Vincenzo e Onelio scelgono di rimanere artigiani e di non passare ad una distribuzione industriale.
L'esperienza dell'azienda permette un'esigente scelta dei materiali e di pellami conciati a fiore integro e lavorati con estratti vegetali naturali. La produzione dei modelli rimane a numero limitato per permettere di seguire scrupolosamente le principali lavorazioni che avvengono all'interno dell'azienda stessa.
Nel 2002 Lido Fortuna viene a mancare ma i suoi due figli, insieme al personale di provata professionalità, seguono le orme di ciò che il loro Maestro aveva indicato loro: materiali di ottima qualità, semplicità, buon gusto, passione e un pizzico di estro e originalità.
Oggi le scarpe Lidfort sono in vendita e nelle vetrine dei migliori negozi di lusso di tutto il mondo. Dietro ogni modello si nasconde una tecnica di lavorazione vecchia di almeno 50 anni ma allo stesso tempo il gusto e l'eleganza moderna e attuale che permettono continui consensi dall'ottima clientela ormai consolidata.

ENG: In 1945 Mr Lido Fortuna applies his father's teachings at the garage of his home in Montegranaro, a small town in centre of Italy, not far from the Adriatic cost.
The War had been just finished and Mr Lido was longing to make and create. Soon his garage became a small factory where producing shoes was a pleasure.
The production increased and the brand name LIDFORT appeared for the first time: it concerns the acronym LIDoFORTuna. Many started to wear Lidfort shoes, not only in the nearby areas but especially in the north of Italy and in the capital city (Rome).
Mr Lido however could not manage the quantities required by that increasing market, so he decided to teach his closer collaborators the tricks of the trade, trying to pass on his passion in his job. For this reason the name Lido Fortuna recalls the title “Master of Style and Life”.
In the '70s Mr Vincenzo and Mr Onelio, Mr Lido's sons, joined the factory even if since many years they have been helping and working with his father. From that moment new balances were created because Master Lido taught his sons the best artesian technics and Vincenzo with Onelio gave back freshness to the brand.
The Lidfort shoes in the '80s follow an elegant and refined style but also modern and simple one. Despite the business was increasing, the brothers Vincenzo and Onelio chose to remain artisans and they did not pass to an industrial distribution.
The factory's experience allowed a peculiar selection of materials and leather, tanned-full-grain and tooled with natural-vegetable-extracts. The items have a limited production and in this way the main manufacturings, that take place in the factory, are meticulously supervised.
In 2002 Mr Lido Fortuna died but his sons, together with the high-professional-staff, follow their Master's footsteps: high-quality materials, simplicity, classiness, passion and a pinch of fancy and originality.
Today the Lidfort shoes are sold and shown in windows of the best luxury shops all around the world. Behind every item you can find a 50-year-old manufacturing-technics but at the same time also the taste and the modern elegance that allow a constant success from the excellent and long-standing customers.
